Play It Again Sports of Santa Rosa opened it's doors at 2735 Santa Rosa Ave. in the Toys R Us® shopping center in September of 1993.  With a small staff managed by local sports enthusiast Billy Briscoe, Play It Again Sports specialized in the business of used sports and fitness equipment and made a name for itself as a high value alternative to the average big box sporting goods retailer.

In 1999 Billy bought the business from the original owners and put a stronger emphasis on incorporating new, name brand inventory into the product mix, with an added emphasis on the fitness and strength training category.  Two expansions and 12 years have transpired and Play It Again Sports of Santa Rosa now consistently ranks in the TOP 10 in annual sales nationally out of nearly 400 Play It Again Sports stores and also ranks #1 IN FITNESS SALES.
